Obverse description Central field displays a crowned Gothic letter K (initial of Casimir/Kazimierz) set within a inner beaded circle, the crown rendered with three fleurs. The letter is flanked by pellets or small ornamental stops. The surrounding field between the inner and outer circles is filled with Gothic letter forms constituting the marginal legend. The overall design is executed in a bold, uncial Gothic style typical of mid-14th century Polish royal coinage.
