| Reverse description | Within a beaded inner circle on the square klippe flan, a cross fleury (cross with fleur-de-lis terminals) occupies the central field, with a small annulet at the centre. The surrounding legend, separated by a star, reads ★ S . THEODOLVS . 1628, invoking Saint Theodore (Theodulus), patron saint of Valais, with the date of issue integrated into the legend. The overall composition is typical of Swiss cantonal coinage of the period, combining devotional imagery with civic identity. |
