Reverse description The reverse bears a multi-line Cyrillic inscription filling the entire field of the irregular flan, presenting the full titular legend of Tsar Vasiliy IV Shuysky. The text is arranged in horizontal lines across the coin in the characteristic fashion of Russian wire-money kopecks of the Time of Troubles period, with no border or decorative elements framing the legend. The lettering is boldly engraved in the early 17th-century Muscovite epigraphic style, with some characters partially off-flan due to the small, irregular planchet. The inscription reads: ЦАРЬ И ВЕЛИКИЙ КНЯЗЬ ВАСИЛИЙ ИВАНОВИЧ ВСЕЯ РУСИ (Tsar and Grand Prince Vasily Ivanovich of all Rus').
