Obverse description A stylized equestrian figure of the Tsar, rendered in the traditional Russian wire money (cheshуika) style, depicted at a gallop to the right while wielding a spear or lance in the raised hand. The composition is characteristic of the long-running 'horseman' type used on Russian kopecks from the late 15th century onward. Cyrillic characters denoting the regnal year appear beneath the hooves of the horse. The crude, elongated design reflects the hand-struck nature of the flan cut from silver wire.

Reverse description Six lines of Cyrillic text filling the entire field in the manner characteristic of Russian wire kopecks of the period, bearing the full titulature of the sovereign. The legend reads ЦАРЬ ПЕТР АЛЕКСЕЕВИЧЬ ВСЕЯ РОССIИ САМОДЕРЖЕЦ, meaning 'Tsar Peter Alexeyevich, Autocrat of All Russia.' The inscription is compressed to fit the irregular, lenticular flan typical of cheshуika coinage, with letters occasionally truncated at the edges. No border or decorative elements surround the legend.
