Reverse description The reverse displays a multi-line Cyrillic inscription occupying the entire field of the irregularly shaped planchet, reading 'Царь Петр Алексеевич' (Tsar Peter Alekseyevich), arranged in three or four compressed lines as is characteristic of the wire kopeck series. The lettering is struck in raised relief from hand-engraved dies, with the Cyrillic characters showing the angular, abbreviated style typical of early 18th-century Muscovite mint practice. The flan edges are ragged and uneven, a natural consequence of the wire-cutting production method. No border or decorative framing is present, the inscription filling the available planchet space. This reverse legend format directly identifies the issuing sovereign, following the convention established for Petrine wire kopecks.
