Obverse description Equestrian effigy of Tsar Peter I depicted in the traditional wire money style, showing the ruler on horseback facing right and brandishing a lance or spear downward in a striking pose. The design is rendered in the archaic, stylized manner characteristic of late Muscovite wire kopecks, with the horse and rider occupying the entire irregular flan. The relief is bold and deeply struck despite the small module, with surface texture typical of hand-hammered silver wire coinage. The crude but vigorous design reflects the transitional period of Russian coinage just before Peter I's monetary reform of 1704.
