| Reverse description | Reverse bears a multi-line Cyrillic inscription filling the entire field of the irregular oval planchet, rendered in the characteristic bold, archaic letter forms typical of early Petrine wire money. The legend, distributed across several lines and reading continuously, gives the full titulature of the issuing sovereign. The letters are deeply struck relative to the small flan, with some peripheral text lost to the irregular edge of the wire-cut planchet. No border, decorative element, or exergue is present, the inscription alone constituting the entirety of the reverse design. This typology is consistent with Russian wire kopecks produced at the Moscow Mint through the final years of the traditional hammered coinage before Peter I's monetary reform. |
