Reverse description Reverse bears a multi-line Cyrillic legend occupying the full field of the irregular oval flan, reading ЦРЬ ПЕТРЪ АЛЕѮѢЕВИЧЪ, identifying the issuer as Tsar Pyotr Alexeyevich (Peter I). The inscription is arranged in three lines across the flan in the characteristic style of late wire money coinage, with large, bold Cyrillic characters filling the available space. The flan edges are ragged and uneven, a natural consequence of the wire-cutting and hand-hammering production method. Letter forms are consistent with early 18th-century Muscovite Cyrillic epigraphy. No border or decorative framing element is present, the legend alone constituting the entire reverse design.
