| Obverse description | A mounted horseman, depicted in profile facing right, rides a galloping horse and brandishes a long spear held diagonally across the field — the classic 'copeck rider' motif traditional to Russian wire money. The figure is rendered in the bold, schematic style characteristic of 17th-century Russian hammered coinage. Cyrillic letters appear in the lower field below the horse. The flan is irregular in shape, as is typical of wire-cut (cheshuyka) production. |
