| Reverse description | Multi-line Cyrillic inscription occupying the entire reverse field, arranged in abbreviated horizontal lines across the flan in the customary format of Russian wire kopecks of the period. The legend reads in full: ЦАРЬ И ВЕЛИКИЙ КНЯЗЬ БОРИС ФЕДОРОВИЧ ВСЕЯ РУСИ, identifying the issuing ruler as Tsar and Grand Duke Boris Feodorovich of All Rus. Due to the small, irregular flan characteristic of hammered wire coinage, the full legend is typically truncated and only partially legible on any given example. The lettering is in early Cyrillic script with ligatures and abbreviations standard to late 16th- and early 17th-century Muscovite coinage. |
