| Obverse description | Equestrian figure of the tsar depicted as a mounted warrior, facing right at full gallop, wielding a long spear held diagonally across the field — the classic 'copyshchik' (spearman) motif characteristic of Muscovite wire money. The horseman is rendered in a stylised, flat relief typical of the hammered coinage tradition. Mint letters 'о М' (Moscow Mint) appear in the lower field beneath the horse. The flan is irregular in outline, as is standard for this wire-cut coinage. |
