Obverse description A crowned equestrian figure, representing the Tsar, depicted in right-facing profile astride a galloping horse and bearing a spear, in the characteristic wire money (cheshuyка) style. The design is compact and irregular, conforming to the elongated flan shape typical of Russian wire kopecks of this period. Mintmark letters appear in the field beneath the horse's hooves, identifying the Moscow Mint.
