| Reverse description | The reverse presents a similarly irregular hammered flan with a three-line Arabic inscription occupying the central field, reading 'Darb / Kashmir' followed by the regnal date expressed in words, all arranged within a simple linear border. The lettering is rendered in a provincial Naskh hand, showing the characteristic crudeness of struck copper issues from the Kashmir Sultanate mint. The field around the legend is flat and undecorated, consistent with the utilitarian aesthetic of this denomination. Patination is consistent with the obverse, showing areas of brown and green oxidation across the surface. |
