| Obverse description | Facing helmeted and cuirassed bust of Emperor Justin II, depicted frontally in the Byzantine imperial military tradition. The emperor wears a crested helmet adorned with a decorative plume, and a cuirass with visible pauldrons. The face is rendered with characteristic late antique stylization, with large almond-shaped eyes and a rigid, hieratic expression. No surrounding legend is present on this denomination. The flan is irregular, as is typical of hammered Byzantine copper coinage of the period. |

| Reverse description | Central large numeral I (denoting 10 nummi) occupies the field, flanked by the mint and regnal abbreviations arranged in two columns. To the left, the letters V and S are arranged vertically; to the right, TI above NI, together reading VSTI/NI and identifying the issuing emperor Justin (II). Two pellets appear above the numeral I. The design is characteristic of Byzantine decanummia of this reign, with bold, deeply struck letterforms on a compact, irregularly shaped copper flan. |
