Obverse description St. John the Baptist standing frontally, facing left, barefoot, clothed in the melote, holding a cruciferous staff with phylactery in his left hand, and his right hand stretched skyward. A lamb lies at his feet. Surrounding legend and engraver`s name in exergue.
