Obverse description Humped bull (zebu) standing to the right in the central field, rendered in a bold, stylized fashion characteristic of post-Shahiya Indo-Muslim coinage. The animal's distinctive hump, dewlap, and legs are clearly delineated despite the crude striking. Nagari or Sharada script legends appear in the lower field below the bull's body. The coin exhibits the irregular flan and weak strike typical of hammered Ghurid jitals produced for circulation in the northern Indian subcontinent.
