| Obverse description | A humped bull (Nandi) depicted in left-facing profile occupies the central field, rendered in the stylized manner typical of Ghaznavid-era jitals. A Devanagari legend appears above the bull across the upper portion of the flan. The design reflects the continuation of pre-Islamic Shahi iconographic conventions adopted by Ghaznavid rulers for local circulation coinage. The strike is characteristic of hammered production, resulting in a slightly irregular flan with moderate relief. |
