Obverse description Obverse displays a highly stylized, degenerate bull's head or anthropomorphic face derived from earlier Hindu-Shahi iconographic traditions, rendered in low relief on an irregularly shaped flan. Two prominent circular pellets or eyes flank a central raised element, with curvilinear devices extending from the upper field suggesting vestigial horns or decorative flourishes. The overall design reflects the transitional artistic style characteristic of early Ghaznavid subsidiary coinage, wherein pre-Islamic figural motifs were retained for local circulation. The heavily worn and corroded surface is consistent with extensive circulation use.
