| Obverse description | Equestrian figure depicted in left-facing profile, seated upon a horse in full stride; the rider holds a falcon perched upon his raised right hand, rendered in the bold, schematic style characteristic of Ghurid hammered coinage. The design fills the irregular flan with little remaining field, and a rudimentary border of dots or pellets encircles the central device. The composition reflects the Central Asian and Indo-Islamic artistic tradition common to Ghurid jitals of this period. |
