| Reverse description | Reverse field bears a multi-line Arabic inscription in Kufic script arranged in horizontal registers across the central field, with a small central drill-hole or pellet depression visible. A partial arc or border element frames the lower portion of the legend, a feature commonly associated with the Qunduz mint issues of the Khwarezmian series. The flan is irregular and slightly clipped at the edges, and the die is somewhat worn, lending a softness to the outermost portions of the legend. The overall style is consistent with Tye type 234 billon jitals attributed to Sultan 'Ala al-Din Muhammad II. |
