| Reverse description | The reverse bears a multi-line Arabic inscription in Kufic-influenced script, arranged within a plain inner border surmounted by a prominent beaded arch or mihrab-style frame. The field contains the royal titulature and the shahada, the text disposed in two or more horizontal registers across the flan. A beaded or pellet border runs along the upper portion of the design, consistent with Khwarezmian hammered coinage conventions. The flan is notably chipped at the upper edge, revealing the irregular striking characteristic of medieval Central Asian jitals. The lettering, though partially worn, retains legible relief throughout the central registers. |
