| Reverse description | The central field bears a crowned heraldic shield combining the coat of arms of Alsace — per pale, the dexter half showing the Bas-Rhin arms (gules, a bend argent) and the sinister half the Haut-Rhin arms (gules, a bend or charged with roundels) — in colored enamel, surmounted by a ducal crown. A stork in flight appears in relief at the base of the shield. The peripheral legend arcs along the upper border, flanked by decorative pretzel and knotwork motifs. The issuer's monogram MP appears in the exergue at 6 o'clock. |
