Obverse descriptionRepresentation of the church of Sainte-Marie-du-Mont, French commune of the department of Manche, region Normandy. Different from Prune at 4 o`clock. The 4th Infantry Division landed on the beach named Utah Beach and paratroopers of the 82nd and 101st Airborne Divisions were dropped in the vicinity. Sainte-Marie-du-Mont is one of the municipalities claiming the title of the first continental French village liberated on June 6, 1944.
