| Reverse description | Central device features the rearing white horse of Hanover (the Saxon steed) facing left, set within a wreath of laurel branches tied at the base. Above the horse, a cross pattée ornament appears at the apex between the wreath tips. The date ANNO 1655 is inscribed along the upper arc within the wreath. The surrounding legend reads SINCERE ET CONSTANTER (Sincerely and Steadfastly), the personal motto of Duke Christian Ludwig. A second Russian countermark stamp — the spur mark of 1655 — is applied in the lower field, partially overlapping the base of the wreath. |
