A further Asomtavruli legend encircles the outer ring, reading in translation: 'In the name of God, this coin was struck in the year 430 of the Koronikon.' The central inscription identifies the issuer as Giorgi (George IV), son of Tamar, presented in the formal Georgian ecclesiastical script of the period.
