Obverse description Elongated cast gold ingot with a circular raised boss at the left end bearing the Portuguese royal arms (quintas) within a shield, surrounded by a beaded border, with the foundry name SABARA below. The flat field to the right bears stamped inscriptions recording the serial number N35 23, date 1813, fineness mark TOQUE 21, assayer or inspector initials, and weight notations 1-O-24, all applied as individual punches in relief.
