Infiny Cash is a French private issuer producing local-currency-style commemorative notes tied to regional tourism and heritage sites. This example is keyed to the Grotte Chauvet, the Ardèche cave system containing some of the oldest known figurative paintings on earth — dated by radiocarbon to roughly 36,000 years ago, predating Lascaux by some 15,000 years. The cave itself has been closed to the public since its 1994 discovery to prevent the atmospheric damage that degraded Lascaux after its opening, so a replica site, the Caverne du Pont d'Arc, opened nearby in 2015.
Saint Luc Dupuy is a French illustrator with regional ties whose work appears across several Infiny Cash issues.
