Ribeauvillé is a commune in Alsace, and this note is part of the broader "monnaie locale complémentaire" movement that gained traction in France after 2010, with dozens of regional currencies issued to encourage local spending and reinforce territorial identity. The Infiny is one of the smaller such schemes, operating across a cluster of Alsatian towns.
