Obverse description High-relief bust of Prince Regent Luitpold of Bavaria facing left, depicted in old age with a prominent beard. The circular legend around the upper field reads LVITPOLD·PRINZ - REGENT·v·BAYERN, with the dates 1821 / 12·MÄRZ / 1911 inscribed in the left field, and the engraver's initials M.H. with the year visible in the lower right exergue area.
