| Obverse description | A highly detailed relief depiction of the Imperial Russian ship-of-the-line Poltava (1712) under full sail, shown three-quarters to starboard and navigating stylized ocean waves in the lower field. The vessel displays multiple unfurled sails and flies a flag bearing the Russian Imperial eagle at the mainmast. To the lower left, a large anchor with rope is depicted diagonally across the field, while a decorative volute ornament appears at the lower right. Three seagulls are rendered in flight in the upper right field. The curved Cyrillic legend ЛИНЕЙНЫЙ КОРАБЛЬ «ПОЛТАВА» 1712 arcs along the upper periphery against a mirror-polished background. |
