| Obverse description | The oval gilt obverse features a central shield bearing the Croatian chequered coat of arms surmounted by the abbreviation 'HVU', topped with a crown in blue and white enamel, and overlaid by a upward-pointing sword in high relief. Radiating sunburst lines fill the field behind the shield, flanked by decorative scroll ornaments on either side. The dark enamelled border carries the legend 'HRVATSKO VOJNO UČILIŠTE' at the top and '• PETAR ZRINSKI •' at the bottom in raised gilt lettering. |
