Obverse description Youthful head of Herakles facing right, crowned with the scalp of the Nemean lion, the beast's gaping jaws framing the hero's forehead and the paws knotted at the throat. The modeling of the face is rendered in fine high relief with carefully articulated curling locks of hair visible beneath the headdress. A beaded border encircles the flan.
