| Obverse description | Herakles striding to the right, depicted in heroic guise, grasping a club in his raised hand while carrying a bow and quiver; the Nemean lion skin is draped over his left arm. An ankh symbol appears in the right field, reflecting the strong Phoenician cultural influence at Kition. The style is consistent with Cypriot coinage of the fourth century BC, combining Greek iconographic conventions with Near Eastern religious symbolism. |
