Obverse description Veiled and turreted head of Kore (Persephone) facing left, her elaborately styled hair adorned with a wreath of grain and rendered in flowing waves secured by a diadem. The effigy is executed in high relief with fine Hellenistic artistry, the facial features delicately modeled with a serene expression. A dolphin or earring ornament is visible behind the ear. The field is plain and unlettered, with the design filling the flan to the inner border.
