Obverse description Laureate head of Apollo facing right, rendered in fine archaic-transitional Greek style with carefully engraved wavy locks of hair falling in undulating tresses onto the neck. The wreath of laurel is depicted with naturalistic detail, with individual leaves clearly articulated across the crown. The facial features are finely modelled, with a straight profile, well-defined eye, and slightly parted lips characteristic of late Classical Greek die-cutting. The field is plain, with no legend or additional devices.
