| Obverse description | Laureate head of Apollo facing slightly left, rendered in fine archaic-to-classical transitional style with carefully detailed laurel wreath across the brow and long wavy hair flowing behind the neck. The facial features are delicately modeled with almond-shaped eyes, a straight nose, and slightly parted lips characteristic of 4th-century BC Greek die-cutting. The portrait fills the flan with considerable relief, demonstrating accomplished engravers' craft typical of Troad coinage of this period. |
