Obverse description Forepart of a winged figure, possibly a griffin or pegasus, facing left, rendered in archaic Greek style with incised feather detailing along the folded wing. The creature's head is turned slightly upward, with a prominent mane delineated by engraved lines. A border of raised dots frames the design along the lower and side periphery of the flan. The relief is bold for the small module, characteristic of Cilician mint workmanship of the late fifth century BC.
