Pordosilene was a small coastal settlement on the island of Lesbos, closely associated with — and likely administratively subordinate to — the more powerful city of Mytilene. Its independent coinage is exceptionally rare, and the hemiobol represents the smallest denomination in what was already a limited civic output. The HGC catalogues fewer than a handful of specimens.
