Obverse description Kantharos (wine vessel) depicted facing, rendered in high relief with prominent loop handles on either side and a rounded body with vertical ribbing. A small pellet or globule appears to the upper right of the vessel, and a small wheel or rayed symbol is positioned to the lower right of the kantharos. The design is compact and boldly executed in the archaic Greek style, consistent with the small module of the denomination. The field is otherwise plain and unlettered save for the initial Θ.
