| Obverse description | Youthful laureate head of Apollo facing left, rendered in fine archaic-transitional Greek style with delicately engraved curling locks falling behind the neck. The laurel wreath is clearly articulated across the brow, with individual leaves distinguishable. The facial features are finely modeled with a straight nose and slightly parted lips, characteristic of the accomplished die-cutting associated with Chalcidian League coinage of the late fifth century BC. The field surrounding the head is smooth and unlettered. |

| Reverse description | A linear square, divided into four quadrants by intersecting lines, each quadrant containing a saltire (diagonal cross) set amidst pellets, all enclosed within a border of pellets and set within a shallow incuse square. This geometric incuse design is characteristic of early Chalcidian League fractional silver coinage and reflects the influence of archaic Greek coin-making conventions. The overall composition is precise and symmetrical, occupying the full flan. No inscription or legend is present. |
