The upper-left quadrant contains the letter Ν, the upper-right quadrant contains a triangular or arrow-shaped device, the lower-left quadrant bears a small six-petalled rosette or star ornament, and the lower-right quadrant contains the letter Π, together reading ΠAN as the abbreviated ethnic of Pantikapaion.
