Trieros was a minor settlement in Macedon, and its coinage is known from only a handful of specimens — making any survivor significant by sheer rarity of origin. The SNG Copenhagen reference places this type among a small cluster of north Aegean fractional issues whose attribution to specific communities took decades of scholarly debate to resolve.
