Obverse description Draped bust of the nymph Pelorias facing left, her hair elaborately bound in an ampyx and sphendone, the latter ornamented with a star motif. The portrait is rendered in the Sicilian Greek style characteristic of the mid-fourth century BC, with fine detail in the hair treatment. The flan is of irregular fabric typical of locally produced Sicilian bronze coinage of the period.
