Obverse description Laureate head of Apollo facing left, rendered in fine archaic Sicilian style with naturalistic facial features, delicate hair bound with a laurel wreath, and flowing locks descending behind the neck. The portrait is set in a plain, unlettered field against a smooth flan. The modelling of the face displays characteristic fourth-century Sicilian die-engraving quality, with a well-defined profile, almond-shaped eye, and slightly parted lips.
