| Obverse description | A seabird, identified as a tunny (tuna fish) or goose, rendered in profile facing left in high relief against an unadorned field. The bird stands in a naturalistic posture with wings folded and legs clearly articulated, exhibiting the bold, archaic artistic style characteristic of early Kyzikene electrum coinage. No legend or inscription appears on this face. The flan is small and irregular, consistent with early hammered electrum production. |
