| Obverse description | Forepart of a boar facing right in high relief, characteristically rendered in the archaic Greek style. The animal holds a tunny fish in its mouth, the fish oriented vertically with its head uppermost — the tunny being the civic emblem of Kyzikos. The surfaces are irregular and characteristic of early electrum coinage struck without a prepared flan. No legend or inscription present in the field. |
