Reverse description A trident depicted horizontally across the central field, its three tines pointing left and its handle extending to the right, symbolising the maritime character of the Carian city of Myndos. A crab is shown above the trident shaft, consistent with the civic iconography of coastal Carian mints. The Greek legend ΜΥΝΔΙΩΝ appears in the upper field and ΜΗΝΟΦΙΛΟC in the lower field, identifying the issuing community and the magistrate Menophilos. The reverse is bordered by a partial dotted circle.
