Obverse description Bearded laureate head of Zeus facing right, rendered in late Hellenistic style with flowing locks falling behind the neck and a wreath of laurel encircling the brow. The portrait exhibits strong, mature facial features with a prominent nose and thick beard. A palm frond or branch is visible to the left of the head in the field, a characteristic element of Achaean League coinage. The flan is irregular and slightly flat-struck, typical of hammered silver issues of this period.

Reverse description The distinctive Achaean League monogram occupies the central field, formed by the interlaced letters of the league's name. Above the monogram appears an additional control monogram, while to the left and right are the piloi (conical caps) of the Dioskouroi, each surmounted by a star, serving as symbols of Lakedaimon. The ethnic abbreviation ΠY appears in the exergue below, identifying the issuing city. The entire design is enclosed within a laurel wreath, a hallmark of Achaean League hemidrachm coinage.
