| Obverse description | Zeus Lykaios enthroned facing, his head turned to the left, depicted in archaic style with schematic facial features. The deity holds a long scepter in his raised left hand, while an eagle is shown alighting or taking flight from his extended right hand. The composition fills the round flan in a bold, if somewhat crudely rendered, early Classical manner. |
