| Reverse description | The central device features the monogram of the Achaean League, composed of interlaced letters, flanked by K to the left and A to the right, with IΩ placed above, identifying the mint city of Kaphyai. Beneath the monogram appears a small helmeted head of Athena facing right. The entire design is encircled by a laurel wreath, a hallmark of Achaean League hemidrachm coinage. The composition is typical of the standardized federal coinage issued by member cities of the League during the late second century BC. |
